 Last month, I visited my childhood friend’s house on Depok. His Name is Juniar. There were many activities I did there. In the morning, Juniar and I had breakfast. The school looks better than 13 years ago. There is a big bench in the school garden. There were 3 sports fields for students. 1.Last month, I visited my childhood friend’s house on Depok. His Name is Juniar. There were many activities I did there. In the morning, Juniar and I had breakfast. We had nasi uduk that we enjoyed when we were kids. I liked it very much. After breakfast, he took me to our old school and retell the story about what we had when we were in elementary school. After visiting the school, Juniar and I went to the market to buy some food and snacks. We bought kue ape, kue pukis, kue cucur, kue mangkok, and nasi padang. 2.On Wednesday, my best friends and I went to Yogyakarta. We stayed at the Tentrem Hotel located not far from Malioboro. On Thursday, we visited the temples in Prambanan. There are three big temples, the Brahmana, Syiwa and Wisnu temples. They are really amazing. On Friday night we went to Malioboro. We spent about two hours there. We were lucky because there are lots of promotions for visitors such as discounts for batik and handcrafted bags, free testers for bakpia, and so on. I bought new clothes for my sister and a bag for my mom with big discount. After that we left for Jakarta by train.

Describing People

1.I have an older sister. Her name is Karina. I call her ‘Kak Karin’ and she is seven years older than me. Although we are siblings, we have some different characteristics and personalities.

My sister has black wavy hair, but she dyed it brown. She is 169 cm tall and has long legs. Her skin is tanned because she likes to travel. She also has nice facial features. Her face is small, with round eyes and a pointed nose.

People like to see her smile and laugh because she has gummy smile. My sister is pretty but she always denies it. She is also kind to everyone. She likes to buy me food and ask me to the cinema.

2.I have a classmate at school. Her name is Mark Lee. We met often to play and he was always nice to me. Mark's body was tall and well-proportioned. His slender body made his friends envious. Mark also has an actor-like face which many female students like.

He has straight hair with black color. His hobbies are running, swimming and writing a poem. Mark is not only handsome, but also very friendly to his friends and polite to his teachers. Mark always smiled for those who greeted him. Every morning, Mark and I used to go to school together.

Procedure Text

1. The Procedure of Making Instant Coffee

Ingredients:

Water

A teaspoon of coffee

Creamer

Tools:

Kettle

Mug

Spoon

Steps:

First, put water and plug it in

Then, put in teaspoon of coffee

After that, pour just a teaspoon of the very hot (nearly boiling) water into the mug, only enough to dampen the instant coffee.

Stir in the rest of the hot water

Add creamer to the coffee and stir

Finally, ready for served

2. How To Make Pancake

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 egg, beaten lightly

1 1/2 cups milk

2 tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

Sift together first three ingredients (to prevent lumps)

In a separate bowl, mix egg and milk, add it to flour mix, stirring until just smooth

Then stir in butter. If you want to mix it up, throe in blueberries, a tiny dice of apple, or bits of banana

Grease a griddle or nonstick pan with cooking spray or a little vegetable oil

Heat pan on medium for about ten minutes

Pour butter to form pancake of whatever size you like

Cool first side until bubbles form on top, about three minutes, then flip and cook other side until it, too, is brown, about two minutes.

Serve immediately with butter and syrup or hold briefly in warm oven. Serves four.
